For all the beauty and wonder this world holds, the heights of Mt. Everest, and the depths of the Dead Sea over 1300 feet below sea level, you don’t have to travel out of the country to see the wonders of the world.  There are dozens of U.S. vacation destinations Great U.S. vacation destinationsthat are also premier places for fantastic vacations.

The Northwest United States, has its Pacifc Ocean shoreline, as well as the mighty Columbia River, lush green timber forests and parks, and Mt. St. Helen.  California has the giant redwoods, Palm Springs, Hollywood, and of course….Disneyland!

Arizona is the home of the Grand Canyon; one of the 7 wonders of the world.  Travel to Southwestern Colorado and visit Mesa Verde; a lost civilization where, within a generation or two, the Ancestral Pueblo people left their cliff dwelling homes, and moved away for unknown reasons.

In the next in this series, I will take us across the country, highlighting some of the wonderful vacation destinations in the United States.
