Summer is the time most people turn their thinking to vacations and relaxation; getting away from the mundane and the routine.  A vacation club membership is one of the best ways to take advantage of discounted travel.

Vacation clubs have become very popular since they don’t have the drawbacks of a timeshare, locking you into a certain wee, and/or monthly or yearly dues and fees.  Travel agencies are a for profit business, so their prices may not always be the best.  Considering this, vacation clubs offer a one time up front membership fee, no monthly fees, and deep discounts on world wide resort accommodations with many amenities available.  You can vacation in luxury without the luxury price tag.

Many vacation clubs also offer, for those interested, a way of paying the members who want to let other people in on this great deal.  It’s a win/win situation no matter how you look at it.

With the busy lifestyle we all seem to lead, we look forward to time when we can relax and do something fun and enjoyable.  Travel is at the top of the list.  But, you need to plan wisely or the expenses could get out of hand.  Travel savings memberships can help keep the buget within your limits.

Traveling is a great way to connect and bond with family and friends.  A travel saving membership is a great way to save money on that vacation or leisure time activity.  Timeshares are good, but many times there are extra expenses in maintenance fees, monthly dues, not to mention being tied in to a particular time every year.  However, a travel saving membership allows a one time fee paid at the purchase of the membership, with no monthly fees, no maintenance fees, but best of all, you have the freedom to choose a full week in thousands of destinations around the world, at the convenient time that you want to go.  What a deal!

Everyone likes to take a vacation to get away, to have fun, and to relax while making great memories to last a lifetime.  Finding family friendly vacation destinations can sometimes be a challenge, but there are truly some great places for a family vacation.

Keep in mind the age of your children when selecting a family vacation destination.  Think about what activities are appropriate for the age of your children and the type of activities they enjoy.  If you think, for instance, that the beach or the pool nearby would be fun for the whole family, but your children don’t know how to swim, consider teaching them some basic swimming skills before you go, so they’ll enjoy the beach or pool even more.

Consider areas that offer amusement parks or theme parks.  The size depends on the length of time of your vacation.  Amusement parks are geared to appeal to all ages.  Some parks will also have rides specifically for infants and toddlers.

Consider a family camping vacation in a state park or campground.  Many such parks offer a variety of outdoor activities such as fishing, and boating since many of these campgrounds are near a lake or river.

No matter where you decide, there is a huge variety of family friendly vacation destinations the whole family can enjoy.

Summer is the perfect time to take a break, enjoy the warm, the sunshine, and outdoor activites.  It’s also the perfect time the plan for vacation.  Luxury resorts are a great way to relax and enjoy summer vacation for the whole family.  Keep in mind what interests the kids have, along with your own interests.  And the consider the five reasons to vacation at a luxury resort.

1)  The two of you can have a romantic dinner and afterwards, stroll along a path or the beach enjoying the cool breeze and the moonlight.

2)  For the kids, the swimming pool, or the beach with plenty of space to run and play.  Of course, in the winter, a snowy meadow is perfect for building a snowman.

3)  Many luxury resorts offer day camp activites for the kids doing all the fun things kids like to do.  That leaves you to some quiet time knowing the kids are in good hands and also having fun.

4)  For the adults, many luxury resorts offer amenities for relaxation, such as a spa offering massage therapy, sauna, pedicures and manicures and hot tubs.

5)  And for the whole family, choose a luxury resort that offers a variety of family activities such as theme parks, tours of local attractions and many outdoor activites such as snorkelin

My Favorite Vacation Destinations

Everyone has their favorite vacation destinations.  Whether it be memories of childhood vacations, or places as an adult you have visited.  I’m going to share with you my personal favorites.

I grew up where the ocean and the beach were within an hour or two of home.  So of course, some of my favorite vacation destinations are beaches.  Among my favorites is the western shores of Florida along the Gulf of Mexico.  Specifically, Sarasota, Florida.  The Gulf waters are a little warmer than the southern Atlantic, and are a beautiful turquoise color.  For the beachcomber, there is an abundance of sea shells to discover.  Travel a short distance to Sanabel Island where, being a beachcombers delight, you can do the “Sanabel Stoop”; being bent over looking and picking up the abundance of shells in every size and color imaginable.

Another favorite vacation destination is Banff, Alberta, Canada.  The beauty of the rugged northern Rocky Mountains in breathtaking.  In particular, Lake Louise, which is a glacier lake fed by the Victoria Glacier.  As you walk down the streets of Banff, you would think you had been transported to a small European town with its shops full of handmade goods, as well as fine china and linens and souvenirs.

These are a couple of my favorite vacation destinations.  At another post, I will give you a few more of my favorites.

Summer is the most popular time of the year for the majority of families to take a vacation.  But many families also take vacation at other times, such as during the winter.  A vacation membership has many possibilities to help families no matter when vacation is taken.

If you get two weeks of vacation every year from your employment, you may choose to take two vacations every year; one week in the summer and again one week in the winter.  This gives you the advantage of both summer and winter vacation destinations.  Is there any way you can make this more affordable?

Yes there is!  Consider a vacation membership.  A vacation membership, depending on the company, can give you great discounts on your accommodations; accommodations that are actually resort condos.  Vacation memberships also have the advantage of no black out dates or limits as to how often you take advantage of the membership, and no monthly fees.

In this article I will highlight the next 5 most popular vacation destinations.  As mentioned in Part 1, the months of May through September are the most popular months for vacation since they are the best warm weather months for just about any vacation destination.

7)  Singapore:  The summer months are warm but the humidity is not oppressive so enjoying a vacation in Singapore is nice.  During the summer there are many festivals and events that will help you enjoy the local culture.  There are also many oppotunities to taste the local foods through the local markets.

What Defines Top Luxury Resorts?

Everyone at some time in their life would like the chance to vacation in one of the world’s top luxury resorts.  But defining what is considered “luxury” is fairly subjective.  However, there are certain elements of luxury that are either expected or commonly thought of.

A top luxury resort will not have just the common amenities.  Luxury resorts will spare no expense to indulge you in anything but ordinary.   A top luxury resort will have expensive marble floors, dark mahogany or rare wood accents; bedding of high quality; high thread count linens and soft, plush bedspreads.  You’ll find top of the line toiletries and plush bath towels and thick terry cloth robes and slippers to pamper you.

Many top luxury resorts are long time landmarks and are located in both central and remote areas.  And many luxury resorts are found in less traveled areas where one can find peace and tranquility away from the crowds.
